¿WHAT IS THE
FUNDACIÓ TURISME RESPONSABLE DE
MALLORCA?

The Responsible Tourism Foundation of Mallorca is a 100% public, non-profit entity, integrated into the Consell de Mallorca.

Its purpose is to promote awareness of sustainable and responsible tourism in Mallorca in the local, national, and international markets, the creation of tourism products, the management of tourism services in general, data management to facilitate decision-making based on up-to-date and accurate information, and any other activity aimed at promoting sustainable and responsible tourism on the island.

To develop its foundational purpose, it carries out, among others, the following activities:

  • Organize and coordinate activities to raise awareness of responsible tourism on the island.
  • Promote the incorporation of different diversified economic avenues through the application of new segments.
  • Collaborate with the tourism sector to facilitate its presence in international markets.
  • Promote the image of Mallorca as a film set, through film and other audiovisual media, as well as promote the creation of film events in Mallorca.
  • Promote major events and other activities of tourist interest that consolidate Mallorca’s various tourist assets, as well as raise the profile of Mallorca in national and international markets as a sustainable and responsible destination.
  • Promote the reactivation of Mallorca’s economy by providing aid or subsidies in various sectors to achieve the island’s economic recovery.
  • Ensure data integrity and security by defining and implementing data governance, which allows for the application of standards and procedures for data collection, ownership, storage, processing, and use.
  • Collect, analyze, interpret, and manage data that provide a true picture of Mallorca’s tourism industry to achieve greater control over supply, improve competitiveness, and plan the tourism strategy.
