The <strong>church tower<\/strong>, decorated with<strong> blue tiles<\/strong>, stands out from a distance. In the centre of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.permoltesraons.com\/en\/\">Santa Maria del Cam\u00ed<\/a>, prominent sights include the 18th-century parish church with its picturesque tower, the 15th-century Casa de la Vila (town hall) with its Renaissance facade and Ca s\u2019Apotecari, a 19th-century structure where a tourist information point can be found. The convent of the Minims, founded in 1682, is located on the street leading to the Pla\u00e7a dels Hostals, an area with shops, bars and restaurants.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The town has a great <strong>winegrowing tradition<\/strong>, mostly producing wine of <a href=\"https:\/\/binissalemdo.com\/en\/home-en\/\">Binissalem designation of origin<\/a>. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mallorca.es\/en\/-\/vino-0?classPK=63804&amp;classNameId=27801\">wineries <\/a>offer <strong>tastings <\/strong>and <strong>guided visits<\/strong> to the <strong>vineyards <\/strong>(on request). La <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ajsantamariadelcami.org\/serveis-municipals\/promocio-economica\/festa-del-vi-novell\/\">Festa del Vi Novell<\/a> (the Festival of Young Wine) is held in late November. The town is decorated for the festival with pine branches on the doors of the houses and the wineries, to announce the arrival of the new wine.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Sunday <\/strong>morning <strong>market <\/strong>is one of the most traditional and busy markets on the island, where you can buy seasonal fruit and vegetables, with a section dedicated to <strong>organic produce<\/strong>, as well as second-hand and artisan items.<\/p>\n<p>The most important artisanal product is the <strong>tela de lleng\u00fces <\/strong>(cloth of Tongues). <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bujosatextil.com\/?lang=en\">T\u00e8xtils Bujosa<\/a> is one of three workshops in Majorca dedicated to the design and production of these splendid <strong>handmade fabrics<\/strong>, made with the ancient <strong>technique <\/strong>known as <strong>ikat<\/strong>. You can buy bags, washbags, cushion covers, tablecloths, and so on, as well as visiting the workshop and finding out about the weaving process itself.<\/p>\n<p>As for the landscape, Santa Maria is located in a <strong>transitional <\/strong>zone between the <strong>mountains <\/strong>and the <strong>plain<\/strong>. The plain is dominated by expanses of almond trees, carobs and vines. The Serra de Tramuntana mountain range extends to the north.
