Die Gemeinde ist nicht sehr umfangreich, umfasst aber das Touristenzentrum sa Col\u00f2nia de Sant Jordi, ein sehr beliebter Sommerurlaubsort. Das bewohnte <strong>Zentrum <\/strong>von ses Salines ist <strong>klein <\/strong>und <strong>ruhig<\/strong>, aber mit verschiedenen Kulturg\u00fctern zu bewundern: die Pfarrkirche Sant Bartomeu im neoklassizistischen Stil; der Turm von Can Barber\u00e0 neben der Kirche aus dem Jahr 1677; die Kirche Vella aus dem Jahr 1644; und das alte Herrenhaus von Can Bonico, das in ein Boutique-Hotel umgewandelt wurde.<br\/>\n\u00a0<br\/>\nIn dem bewohnten Zentrum und seiner <strong>Umgebung <\/strong>wurden zahlreiche <strong>arch\u00e4ologische Funde<\/strong> entdeckt. Eines der herausragendsten Elemente der Kulturg\u00fcter dieses Gebiets ist die arch\u00e4ologische St\u00e4tte von <strong>els Antigors<\/strong>, die sich am Rande des Dorfes befindet. Die talayotische Besiedlung geht auf das Jahr 1000 v. Chr. zur\u00fcck und die \u00dcberreste von Talaiot \u200b\u200b\u200b\u200b(megalithische Konstruktionen) und der umgebenden Mauer sind erhalten geblieben.<br\/>\n\u00a0<br\/>\nIm <strong>Touristenzentrum <\/strong>von sa <strong>Col\u00f2nia <\/strong>de <strong>Sant Jordi<\/strong> finden wir einen kleinen Fischerhafen und eine gro\u00dfe Auswahl an Hotels, Bars und Restaurants. Allerdings dominieren die <strong>Sandstr\u00e4nde <\/strong>und Buchten des Gebiets, von denen einige zu den Wahrzeichen der Insel geh\u00f6ren, wie die breiten Sandstr\u00e4nde der Str\u00e4nde von es Dol\u00e7, es Coto und es Carb\u00f3.<br\/>\n\u00a0<br\/>\nF\u00fcr Naturliebhaber beherbergt Col\u00f2nia de Sant Jordi das <strong>Besucherzentrum des Maritimen Terrestrischen Nationalparks des Cabrera-Archipels<\/strong> und Shuttles nach Cabrera fahren vom Hafen ab. Ein Teil des Gebiets von sa Col\u00f2nia ist auch Teil des <strong>Maritimen Terrestrischen Naturparks von es Trenc-Salobrar de Campos<\/strong>, <strong>eines gesch\u00fctzten Naturgebiets<\/strong> von gro\u00dfem \u00f6kologischem und landschaftlichem Reichtum, dass eine betr\u00e4chtliche Anzahl verschiedener Lebensr\u00e4ume umfasst: D\u00fcnensysteme, Pinien- und Sadebaumw\u00e4lder, Brackwasser, Anbaugebiete, Salinen und ausgedehnte Wiesen von Neptungras (Posidonia oceanica), einer im Mittelmeer beheimateten Meerespflanze.<br\/>\n\u00a0<br\/>\nSalz ist ein typisches Produkt des Gebiets. Die <strong>Salinen <\/strong>von sa Col\u00f2nia de Sant Jordi geh\u00f6ren zu den \u00e4ltesten im Mittelmeerraum und stammen aus dem 4. Jahrhundert v. Chr. Die Salzproduktion ist kontinuierlich und Ende April die Fira de Sal i Salaons (\u201e<strong>Messe des Salzes und von gesalzenem Fisch<\/strong>\u201c), eine thematische Messe, die dem Salz gewidmet ist, wo man Salz aus den Salzwiesen und alle Arten von daraus gewonnenen Produkten sowie Salz aus anderen L\u00e4ndern, Salzkonserven und Gew\u00fcrze usw. kaufen kann.
