Pobles d\u2019interior bohemis, amb cases de pedra, contrasten amb una costa plena de nuclis encantadors de pescadors i localitats tur\u00edstiques animades. Aqu\u00ed ens movem entre la Mallorca rural i la boh\u00e8mia, l\u2019actual i la moderna. La capital d\u2019aquesta comarca, tradicional i hist\u00f2rica, \u00e9s la ciutat de <a href=\"https:\/\/visitllucmajor.com\/ca\/\">Llucmajor<\/a>.\r\n\r\nLa costa combina <strong>penya-segats abruptes<\/strong> amb<strong> cales petites d\u2019arena blanca i fina.<\/strong> No obstant aix\u00f2, al sud, s\u2019obren\u00a0<strong>arenys<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>extensos<\/strong> d\u2019arena blanca,\u00a0com\u00a0la popular platja tur\u00edstica de <strong>s\u2019Arenal<\/strong>\u00a0o la famosa platja sense urbanitzar\u00a0<strong>des Trenc<\/strong>.\r\n\r\nLes pluges en aquesta part de l\u2019illa s\u00f3n escasses i el paisatge est\u00e0 dominat per boscos de capa baixa amb <strong>vegetaci\u00f3 t\u00edpica mediterr\u00e0nia<\/strong>, es tracta d\u2019una terra f\u00e8rtil. <strong>L\u2019agricultura i la ramaderia<\/strong> han tingut un paper rellevant fins a l\u2019arribada del turisme de masses. Recorrent carreteres i camins, \u00e9s possible topar amb finques que encara conserven l\u2019activitat. La llet i alguns dels <strong>formatges<\/strong> m\u00e9s reconeguts de l\u2019illa es produeixen en aquesta zona.\r\n\r\nLes terres de Migjorn s\u00f3n famoses per la roca arenenca, de color caracter\u00edstic. Les pedreres extreuen la <strong>pedra de Santany\u00ed<\/strong>, tan anhelada, imprescindible per construir cases al m\u00e9s pur estil mallorqu\u00ed. Alguns dels edificis m\u00e9s emblem\u00e0tics de l\u2019illa, com la Catedral de Mallorca o el Castell de Bellver, van ser erigits amb aquesta pedra noble.\r\n\r\nPreservar la Mallorca d\u2019antany \u00e9s una prioritat en aquesta part del territori i <strong>parcs naturals<\/strong> diversos vetllen per salvaguardar el paisatge original de l\u2019especulaci\u00f3 tur\u00edstica. El Parc Natural de Mondrag\u00f3<strong>,<\/strong> amb els seus camps de cultiu i les cales d\u2019aig\u00fces turqueses, i el Parc Natural des Trenc-Salobrar de Campos, que compr\u00e8n platges d\u2019arena blanca, dunes, aiguamolls i, fins i tot, una salina, s\u00f3n exemples d\u2019aquesta conservaci\u00f3.
